According to traditional legend, it is believed that Pusuk Buht the domicile of the ancestors of the Batak people, the Batak King that descended from the heavens by “ Mula Jadi Nabolon” (God Almighty). This belief is strengthened with the location of Pusuk buhit which lies at an altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level. As a sacred place, at the foot of Pusuk Buhit a traditional Batak home is built .
